What this directory is

Sydney Mortgage Brokers Directory is a listing and comparison resource covering 600 mortgage broker businesses across Sydney, from city firms to suburban outfits in places like Parramatta, Chatswood, Liverpool and the Sutherland Shire. It’s built for anyone trying to shortlist a broker without wading through vague search results: first home buyers, people refinancing, investors, and anyone who wants to see how local brokers stack up against each other before picking up the phone.

We are an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to a provider relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for that introduction. This referral activity is disclosed on the quote page, and it never touches how a business is scored or ranked. We think both things can be true at once: we can run a real directory with real rankings, and also help connect people who want a broker with providers relevant to their request.

Where the listing data comes from

Each profile is built from public business information (things like address, services offered, and licensing details) combined with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We don’t copy or republish the review text itself. Instead, we summarise the sentiment and patterns we see, and we link back to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself and form your own view.

How rankings actually work

Every ranking on this site comes from a published rubric applied to the data we collect, nothing else. No business can pay to move up the list, and sponsorship (where it appears) is clearly labelled “Sponsored” and shown in a separate section from the earned rankings. Buying a sponsored slot never changes a business’s score or its position in the ranked list. If you want the full detail on how scores are calculated, that’s laid out on our /methodology/ page.

A business that finds an factual error, like a wrong phone number, an outdated address, or a service that’s no longer offered, can request a correction to those facts. What a listed business cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking. Those stay tied to the data and the rubric, not to the business’s preference.

Who maintains this

Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Lena Delgado, Editorial Lead. Lena and the team are responsible for making sure the rubric is applied consistently and that the directory reflects what the underlying data actually shows.

Keeping things current

Data across the directory is refreshed monthly. On individual listings you’ll see a “last verified” date, which is our way of showing the profile has been actively checked rather than left to go stale. This directory is published by Compare Finance Brokers, which runs comparison tools to help Australians find genuine lenders for home and car finance, built from published review data and public business records so you’re looking at real brokers with a real track record, not a paid placement dressed up as one.
